Nominations

Baron of Barossa
Membership of the Barons of Barossa is by invitation and, reflecting the Barons Charter, is offered to those who have made significant contributions to the Barossa in wine, viticulture, gastronomy, heritage or the arts. All Barons are eligible to nominate a person for consideration.
New Barons are inducted into the fraternity in a colourful ceremony held annually. Membership is for life.

Barossa Viticulturist of the Year
Members of the public are welcome to nominate a person for this award. The nominee must reside and produce grapes in the Barossa or be involved in establishing, maintaining and managing vineyards. This award recognises a viticulturist who puts emphasis on producing premium Barossa grapes and who has made or is making a significant contribution to the industry in the areas of sustainability, research, quality, innovation or technical excellence.

Barossa Winemaker of the Year
Members of the public are welcome to nominate a person for this award. The nominee must be a practicing winemaker who produces wine in the Barossa, with an emphasis on utilising premium Barossa grapes. This award recognises a winemaker who has made or is making a significant contribution to the industry in the areas of sustainability, research, quality, innovation or technical excellence.
