The Barons Foundation

In 1975 a group of influential wine personalities established the Barons of Barossa as a philanthropic wine fraternity with a charter to support the Barossa in the areas of wine, viticulture, gastronomy, heritage and the arts.

For 34 years the Barons funded various projects on an as needs basis and when funds were available. In 2008 the Barons Foundation was established in order to guarantee future funding for community projects.

Aim

To provide funding for approved community projects that will benefit the Barossa in the areas of wine, viticulture, gastronomy, heritage and the arts.

Funding

The Barons Foundation is funded by annual sales of the Barons wine. Profits are deposited in the Foundation's investment account and interest earned provides tax free funding for approved community projects.
